Eleanor visits Chilgwell Village Fete

2nd May 2017

The work of local Rotary clubs has been praised by Eleanor Laing who visited the Chigwell Village Fete on Bank Holiday Monday.

The event, on Station Green, Chigwell, featured various stalls and entertainment, including a performance by musicians from Davenant Foundation School.

The event was organised by the Rotary Clubs of Roding, and Loughton, Buckhurst Hill and Chigwell.

Mrs Laing said: "I would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this brilliant annual event such a success once more.

"I am a great admirer of Rotary and really appreciate the enormous amount of good work done by our local Rotary clubs.

"Rotarians battled against the weather with their usual fortitude and enthusiasm.

"The fete was great fun and it was good to see so many local charities and good causes represented.

"I particularly enjoyed meeting the 'Human Fruit Machine'.
