A Level Results

18th August 2017

The success of students at the four Epping Forest secondary schools which make up the Epping Forest District Sixth Form Consortium has been praised by Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing.

This summer's A-Level results are the first for Roding Valley High School, Debden Park High School, King Harold Academy and Epping St Johns since the Consortium was formed to restore sixth form provision to all secondary schools in the Epping Forest district.

The first cohort of Debden Park High School students achieved 100 per cent pass rates in their A-Levels. In some subjects, such as Maths, Physics and Art, 100 per cent of students achieved A*-B grades.

Students at Roding Valley recorded a 98 per cent pass rate with 33 per cent of all grades achieved at A*-B grades.

At Epping St Johns 91 per cent of all grades recorded were at A-C grades.

Mrs Laing said: "I am delighted to read the results from our consortium schools. We fought long and hard to bring sixth form education back to these schools and I am so pleased to see these first set of A-Level results.

"It has been difficult for students and staff to adapt to the new arrangements with some students travelling to other schools for some of their lessons, but this is a great start and I look forward to even further success and greater achievement from the schools' students in the years to come."
